Inspection:

WHERA arranged with Thames Water and KCC to make a joint tour of inspection of known drainage issues (foul and surface) on 28th January 2025. They spoke individually with 8 affected residents.

Our understanding is that those with unresolved sewage flooding problems are in ongoing discussions with the Field Operations Specialist and satisfied that their issues are now being properly investigated.

Responsibility for resolution of the surface water drainage issues is more complex but Thames Water and KCC have combined to reinstate the Weald Road drains damaged by other utility works.

KCC have been unsuccessful in some of their attempts to clear silted gulleys due to access being prevented by parked vehicles. We will attempt to get pre-warning of future attempts to clear the gulleys so that we can warn residents ahead of time.

Direct inspection and clearance of flood drains has been undertaken by Thames Water during February as a direct result of the January tour.
