During the annual inspection/treatment of known Japanese Knotweed hotspots on the Common, a new outbreak was found but it had been removed when they returned to treat it. For those that regularly use the Common please continue to keep a lookout for this invasive and very problematic plant (pictured).
It has also been necessary to fell several local ash trees recently due to incidences of Ash Dieback. If you have your own Ash trees it may be worth getting them checked.
