South East Water have done their routine check for leaks after the LBL repair. They said, surprisingly, they haven’t found any, which we take as good news!
Pervious leaks that we have been aware of in last couple of years have been for following reasons:
- Weight of vehicles (including building work) above footways, verges etc. (e.g. Weald Road, Brattle Wood)
- Impact vibration from mounting kerbs (e.g. Letter Box Lane at Tonbridge Road junction)
- Ground erosion including from water flow from previous leaks elsewhere (e.g. Tonbridge Road)
